BTW: We're back (again)
2020 so far: fire, flood, almost WWIII, plague and pestilence. I can do without living through a moment of history, thank you. Although the alternative of not living through it is equally unappealing...
Meanwhile back at the ranch, I'm waiting for Ubuntu 20.04 to land.
The Lenovo V110 remains the single most disappointing machine I've ever had; still not used to the keyboard, the fan goes berserk whenever I stream any video, gnome-shell throws bug reports every second start-up, the trackpad occasionally dies, and the spontaneous reboots are back. No warning, just click - black screen, reboot. I don't know if it's a kernel fault, a temperature fault or a seg fault in the AMD-A9, but it's bloody annoying.
At some point I'm going to have to find the time and the patience to try to track this down.
I can feel a rant coming on.
We're definitely back. RC
