Having been away for a few days refurbishing a house, my packing included the Freecom DVB-T USB receiver. I gave up on this device after Ubuntu Hardy when various kernel updates made the installation of firmware such a nightmare it was no longer worth the effort. But it's back! Ubuntu 10.10 now includes a stack of DVB firmware and once I got to grips with the DVB scan utilities , I got it working again on the Compaq. It's a low-powered device, of course, so issue of a decent TV aerial remains. Now my issue I getting it to work on the Dell where the modules refuse to compile... RC
